MFormats SDK and MPlatform SDK include GPU-based transitions for playlist and mixer workflows. These transitions are intended for switching from one video source to another and are processed on the GPU when the GPU pipeline is enabled.

GPU transitions listed below that are not present in the original CPU transition list were added starting from SDK version 2.11.1.14806.

A transition can be set by name. Some transitions support parameters in parentheses. Multiple parameters should be written together without separators.
Transition=wheel(spokes='8')

Transition=circle(smoothness='0.2'centerX='0.5'centerY='0.5')Parameters are expected to stay constant during a single transition. Changing non-time parameters on every frame may force shader recompilation.
If a transition name is missing or unsupported, the transition falls back to fade. Some transitions use many texture samples. For high-resolution production workflows, test performance with the target GPU and output format.

A vertical barn-door reveal. It can open from the center or close toward the center.
